it seems sort of silly to lay the blame at a tool. yeah, it's a tool that makes it easier for filmmakers to make abominations like that, but cgi doesn't really have control over that. it'd be like me blaming katamari damacy for making my senior thesis crappy because i spent a week playing it rather than working on my thesis. yeah, it was a nice distraction but i should have known better.
spielberg, lucas, and many other filmmakers are simply losing the plot.
What? The Soviets had guns?
Now that you mention it, I was wondering why that guy had his hands up.
